There are three main areas of clutch, hydraulic/lever/internal:

  • Hydraulic is from the pedal to the slave cylinder,
  • Lever is from the slave to the thrust bearing
  • Internal is the clutch plate/diaphragm and any primary gear play you may have.

CLZ518- CLEVIS PIN FOR CLUTCH ARM AT THE TOP

When working on your clutch always check this little fellow out that sits in the top of the clutch arm and remember to fit the split pin. The pin is 5/16" size

The thin ringer is for old type inertia type starters and used on lightened steel flywheel C-AEG619 and C-AEG421.

Originally fitted to automatic cars and old cast flywheels when lightened by various tuning shops in the 79s and 80s which is not recommended for competition

PRIMARY GEAR C WASHER it is better to use a genuine item if you are running a performance engine and you wish to shim the primary gear up perfectly. This fits against the 88G549 spacer backing ring.

This is the tool that removes the seal, so you can replace the clutch main seal and primary seal. it 'grips' on to the primary gear seal and then the bolt in the top forces the primary gear out.

Check the ball end for wear The late model Minis were converted over to a much smoother operating clutch setup. The 'verto' clutch as it is called also uses a different and much shorter arm in the flywheel housing.

The late model (rover) Minis were converted over to a much smoother operating clutch setup. The 'verto' clutch as it is called also uses a different plunger in the flywheel housing to hold the Clutch release bearing.
